DIABOLOS

"DIABOLOS" began production back on late april, 2023. It was one of the first songs that were written for the next album, even when lyrics for "dystopian : prophecies" were in the middle of its writing process.

"DIABOLOS" exists due to the desire to explore, once again, the main melody that was used for a previously released song from "disruptor : syndrome", called "a devil's ballad". While that song served its purpouse as an opening for that album, it became quite difficult to perform live. Also, there were certain aspects from "a devil's ballad" that made me revisit the main melody too many times after its release, making me wonder if the song could be reworked in a better way. All of these thoughts led me to the conclusion that changes needed to be done. And with all the composing experience I learned along the way, it became clear that something more ambitious could to be accomplished.

Thus, production started with a clear intention to go even further and that's why there are new elements that make "DIABOLOS" its own thing, maybe an spiritual sequel that expands the concept behind a devil's requiem on Earth. There's something wicked yet attractive about a fallen soul reflecting about the meaning of life. Of course, it's up for the listener to take the lyrics in a more figurative sense or not. After all we are complex in nature and, particularly, I'll always find interest in exploring these dark "colors" in everyone's heart.
